Loving For The Long Haul

It was a beautiful Saturday evening in early September. The weather was warm with a slight breeze. Eager to meet Steven and Shannel in person I hurry to our first location. As I drove to the abandoned racetrack in the small town of Mead, Colorado I thought “Wow, what a perfect night for an engagement shoot.” Looking into the rearview mirror I catch a glimpse of Steven on his Harley with his gorgeous bride to be following. I knew tonight’s shoot would be a memorable one!

When Shannel and I talked about their ideal location and she expressed interest in the abandoned racetrack, it was an absolute yes! How fun would it be to actually stop and pull out my camera to shoot there.  I have driven past this abandoned track several times when I lived in Mead, but never once have I stopped until today when that became a reality. What a perfect start to what will be a fun night, filled with smiles, music, sexy red heels, dancing and laughter. If you have the chance to do a photoshoot with a fun couple and their Harley, DO IT! You will not be disappointed!  

Once we captured all the fun that could be had at the racetrack, we ventured to Highland Lake to capture some fun shots with the lake and a mountain view. Boy, did the lake provide some pretty exciting shots. With the soft lighting, an outfit change, and this amazing couple, we wrapped up a pretty epic photoshoot!

I found it absolutely refreshing to meet a couple who are fun, energetic, able to laugh and just enjoy time together. Taking one look at this amazing couple you can see just how in love they are. 

Steven and Shannel, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your engagement photos. This day was especially fun, and I cannot wait to capture your special day!
